Toronto Vegan Food & Drink Festival Recap

The annual Toronto Vegan Food and Drink Festival took place last Saturday, August 13th on the grounds of Fort York. This was our second year attending the event, and it was much bigger than last year. There were more vendors and more people.
Food, ping pong tables, live music, beer... it seemed like it would be the perfect way to spend your weekend. Then it rained... A LOT. During the few hours we were there, the rain came down heavily. It was on and off, but frequent enough to dampen the mood of the festival. People huddled under the tents trying to eat their food, and vendors hustled, preserving their merchandise.
Last year, the weather was perfect.

We were, however, impressed with how many more vendors there were this year (over 70!). The food was delicious, and we had the opportunity to try so many new things. We love that there even was a henna booth.

Toronto Vegan Food & Drink Festival is a fun event to go to and we'll definitely be back next year!

What was your favourite part of the event? We'd love to hear from you! letters@sarahvelasco.com
